Gordon College Women's Lacrosse ventured into Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) action this afternoon as the Fighting Scots battled the Nichols College Bison on Vendetti Field where the Bison took care of the blue and white, 16-6.
Once again,
Kaitlyn Mini paced the Scots with five goals, while
Brooke Roberti added one goal.
Jordan Miller scooped up five ground balls and caused two turnovers, while
Abbie Zorrilla registered four ground balls and two caused turnovers.
Nichols'
Hadley Houghton had a game-high eight goals, while
Gabriella Mandirola,
Makala Dube, and
Emma Patton each chipped in two goals.
How It Happened
- Nichols raced out to a 3-0 advantage before Mini found the back of the net to bring the score to 3-1. The Bison tacked on two more in the first before adding four more goals in the second frame to hold the 9-2Â lead after one half of play.Â
- Roberti broke up the scoring threat early in the third, but Nichols continued to connect en route to the CCC win.

- Kaitlyn Mini recorded her second five-goal game of the season this afternoon.
- Gordon continues CCC play on Tuesday, April 2 as they host the Endicott College Gulls at the Brigham Athletic Complex at 4 p.m.
