Gordon College Men's Golf traveled to Bloomfield, Connecticut to compete at the Hartford Hawks Invitational. Over the course of the two-day invite, the Fighting Scots solidified a fourth place finish, coming ahead of Commonwealth Coast Conference (CCC) opponents Suffolk and Wentworth. The home team of Hartford claimed the crown with a team score of 600 (+24), while New Haven (+53), and Eastern Conn. State (+60), came in second and third, respectively. Gordon shot +68 with a team score of 644.
Mario Mateo was the top finisher for the blue and white after shooting +9 over the weekend (eighth place), followed by
Owen Ingram (+13). Rookies Wyatt Sorenson and
Ben Weed went +21 to lock up at 24th place.Â
The Fighting Scots look to next Saturday, April 20 as they host the Gordon College Shoot-Out at the Wenham Country Club.
