Michael Bayarjargal and
Malachi Grant of Gordon College Men's Rowing represented the Fighting Scots at the American Collegiate Rowing Association National Championship Regatta in Oak Ridge, Tennessee this past weekend.
In their first heat on Friday, the 2x blew past the competition with a time of 7:18.715, crossing the finish nearly 40 seconds ahead of the second place finishers. Then, in the semifinals on Saturday the double once again was dominant en route to a 7:09.533 time to take the top spot and advance to Sunday's Grand Final.
Going stroke for stroke in the men's 2x Grand Final, Bayarjargal and Grant went stroke for stroke down the course, and a photo-finish was nearly needed, but Clarkson was able to claim the crown with the blue and white securing a silver medal finish thanks to a time of 7:05.037, just two ticks behind the gold medalist.
