Competing in the Tony Mariano Invitational today in Barre, Vermont, Gordon College Men's Golf made it two first place finishes in a row after taking the top spot today. The Fighting Scots shot a 309 and won by one shot to improve to 14-0 against DIII opponents on the season. Gordon was one of eight teams battling it out today at the Invitational hosted by Norwich.Â
New England College came in second place (310), followed by Norwich with a score of 312.
How It Happened
- Mario Mateo once again led the way for the blue and white with a score of 75 (+4) and earned an overall third place finish.
- Teammates Owen Ingram, Cole Scannell all shot a 78 (+7) on the day to tie for seventh place.Â
The Fighting Scots return to action on September 21 to participate in the Hartford Hawks Invitational in Bloomfield, Conn. for a two day invitational.
