Kicking off their seven-game home-stand, Gordon College Field Hockey welcomed the Lyons of Mount Holyoke this evening at the Brigham Athletic Complex. The visitors came out with the 7-0 win over the Fighting Scots. 

How It Happened

• Allyson Stauffer dominated the first quarter in net, registering a staggering 12 saves in the first 14 minutes. Adding to the rock solid defense was LilyAnna Hopkins who made a diving defensive save. The Lyons continued to press in the final minute of the first quarter to knock in a pair of goals to go on top, 2-0 after one.
• The visitors added another in the second to widen their advantage to 3-0 at halftime before tacking on four in the second half to take the win.

• Allyson Stauffer reached double-digit saves for the second game this season.
• LilyAnna Hopkins recorded her first defensive save tonight.
• The Fighting Scots open up conference action on Saturday, September 21 at 3 p.m. as they host the Roger Williams Hawks.
