The Gordon College Mens Soccer team hosted the Salem State Vikings in their out of conference match up Wednesday night. The game resulted in a Fighting Scots 2-0 win.

How It Happened

• The Fighting Scots got off six shots and three corners in the first half. Three of the shots were put on frame. Keeper Isaiah Diaz made two saves to keep the half scoreless (0-0).
• Max Cardone assisted by Noah Martin lifted the Scots to a 1-0 lead with a goal three minutes into the second half. Soon after, Gilbert Daru zipped a cross to Benny Simpson who found the back of the net to add to their lead (2-0).
• Gordon shot 11 times in the second half while Salem State only got off one. The game concluded in a 2-0 Gordon victory. 

Beyond The Box Score

• This marks keeper Isaiah Diaz's first clean sheet of his career.
• Gordon hosts their second conference match up of the season against the Western New England Golden Bears Saturday night.
