Hosting the Dean College Bulldogs on a rainy evening under the Brigham Athletic lights, Gordon College Field Hockey fought through the challenging weather to score their first goal of the season before falling to the visitors, 4-1.

How It Happened

• The Fighting Scots' steady defense contained the Bulldogs early, but the visitors were able to break through late in the first quarter to go on top, 1-0.
• Both keepers recorded a save in the second frame as the scoreboard read 1-0 in favor of the Bulldogs at the break.
• Dean tacked on two more in the third before adding another early in the fourth to widen the gap to 4-0.
• Less than five minutes into the fourth quarter, the Fighting Scots surged from midfield, putting the Bulldogs on their heels. Senior Emma Darling found teammate Josie Gayer who fired in a shot past the diving Dean keeper to get on the board (4-1).
