Traveling up to Maine today for the Saint Joseph's Monks' John Queenan Invitational, Gordon College Men's Golf came out on top out of eight teams for their first win of the season.
The Fighting Scots registered a combined team score of 312 to take first place, followed by the University of Southern Maine with 315.
How It Happened
- Mario Mateo had an incredible day on the green as the senior came away with a first place individual medal out of 50 competitors. Mateo earned the top spot after shooting a 75 on the course.
- Teammate Owen Ingram came close behind with a score of 76.
- Underclassmen Ben Weed and Austin Crick booked scores of 80 and 81 respectively.
Next up for the Fighting Scots is the Tony Mariano Invitational hosted by Norwich on Wednesday, September 11.
