Scots, Lions Play To 1-1 Stalemate

Gordon College Women's Soccer traveled into Boston today to square off against the Emerson College Lions on Rotch Field. The Fighting Scots drew first blood, but the home team scored late to end in a 1-1 draw.

How It Happened
  • In the first half, Gordon and Emerson each traded four shots, with Gordon being the more accurate team with two of those on goal, but the scoreboard read 0-0 at halftime.
  • After a save from Emily Bengtson, the blue and white returned the attack as Ada Forbes fed Eowyn Lapp who fired a shot past the Emerson keeper to put Gordon on top, 1-0.
  • With 84:01 on the clock, Emerson knotted it up at 1-1 as the evenly played 90 minutes concluded in Gordon's first tie of the season.
