WENHAM, Mass.- The Gordon College men's soccer team chalked up a 3-0 victory over Wentworth Tuesday evening at the Brigham Athletic Complex.
THE BASICS:

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Gordon grabbed a quick 1-0 lead in the 10th minute. Benny Simpson (Evergreen, Colo.) scorched a left-footed shot into the right side of the net to collect his team-leading fourth tally of the year.
- The Fighting Scots extended the margin to 2-0 in the 43rd minute. Ignacio Fernandez (Madrid, Spain) poked in his first goal of the season, redirecting a free kick clipped into the box by Benny Simpson (Evergreen, Colo.).
- The hosts tacked on their third score of the night in the 80th minute. William Adamson (Williamsburg, Va.) buried his first collegiate goal off of an assist from Sylver Godines (New Braunfels, Texas).
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Cortez Cardone (Villanova, Pa.) paced the home side with three shot attempts while William Adamson (Williamsburg, Va.), Santiago Hernandez (Puebla, Mexico), Jake Scruton (Georgetown, Mass.), and Benny Simpson (Evergreen, Colo.) all added two shots.
- Rookie goalkeeper Riley Calemmo (Pocono Mountain, Pa.) concluded the contest with four saves to record his third clean sheet of the season.
- Gordon finished with 14 shot attempts while Wentworth manufactured nine shots.
