HARTFORD, Conn.- The Gordon College women's soccer team absorbed a 5-1 loss at Hartford Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Hartford opened the scoring in the third minute on a strike from Rebecca Opdenbrouw.
- The Hawks doubled their advantage to 2-0 with a goal in the ninth minute as Mayson Massaro found the back of the net.
- The home side tacked on its third goal of the game in the 30th minute to widen the gap to 3-0.
- Gordon got on the board in the 48th minute, cutting the deficit to 3-1. Ava Forbes-Smith (Bridgewater, Mass.) converted a penalty kick to collect her third tally of the year.
- Hartford reclaimed a three-goal lead, 4-1, with a score in the 52nd minute as Mayson Massaro notched her second marker of the match.
- The Hawks added a goal in the 77th minute to extend the gap to 5-1.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Eowyn Lapp (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) and Ava Forbes-Smith (Bridgewater, Mass.) both recorded three shots on the afternoon.
- Senior Jessie Skov (Westport, Mass.) finished with three saves in goal.
- The Fighting Scots managed seven shots and a pair of corner kicks in the contest.
- The Hawks generated 18 shot attempts and earned seven corner kicks.
