WENHAM, Mass.- The Gordon College women's soccer team breezed by Nichols 8-1 Wednesday evening at the Brigham Athletic Complex. Five different Scots registered a goal as Gordon rolled to its 14th win in a row in the all-time series against the Bison. The Fighting Scots' eight goals were the most in a match since October 2023.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Gordon captured a 1-0 lead in the 20th minute as Rachel Mincone (East Northport, N.Y.) netted her first goal of the season.
- The Fighting Scots doubled their advantage to 2-0 in the 23rd minute. Eowyn Lapp (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) bagged her team-leading 10th marker of the year off of an assist from Ava Forbes-Smith (Bridgewater, Mass.).
- The home side tacked on its third goal of the first half in the 25th minute. Ava Forbes-Smith (Bridgewater, Mass.) found the back of the net for her fifth tally of the season while Eowyn Lapp (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) recorded an assist.
- Gordon added a score in the 31st minute to stretch the gap to 4-0. Eowyn Lapp (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) notched her second goal of the match as Genevieve Gray (Falls Church, Va.) registered her first collegiate assist.
- The Fighting Scots chalked up their fifth goal of the opening frame in the 33rd minute to push the margin to 5-0. Ava Forbes-Smith (Bridgewater, Mass.) converted a penalty kick to collect her second marker of the contest.
- The hosts expanded their lead to 6-0 with a strike in the 34th minute. Eowyn Lapp (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) buried her third tally of the game to cap off her second hat trick of the campaign as Ava Forbes-Smith (Bridgewater, Mass.) picked up her team-leading third assist.
- Gordon racked up its seventh score of the match in the 50th minute. Tia Fyden (Hadley, Mass.) curled in her second goal of the year while Ava Forbes-Smith (Bridgewater, Mass.) added her third assist of the day.
- Nichols got on the board in the 86th minute to cut the deficit to 7-1.
- The Fighting Scots responded with a goal just 18 seconds later to reclaim a seven-score lead, 8-1. Lula Wamberg (Dover, N.H.) knocked in her first marker of the fall and Samantha Kenney (Mangilao, Guam) posted her first assist.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Eowyn Lapp (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) and Ava Forbes-Smith (Bridgewater, Mass.) both fired a five shots to pace the home team while Lula Wamberg (Dover, N.H.) concluded the contest with four shot attempts.
- Rookie Madi Joyce (Oxford, Mass.) made her collegiate goalkeeping debut and finished with three saves.
- The Fighting Scots manufactured a season-high 25 shot attempts while the Bison managed 11 shots.
