CHICOPEE, Mass.- The Gordon College women's basketball team fell 71-60 at Elms Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- After Gordon snagged an early five-point lead, Elms battled back to own a 25-24 edge after the first quarter.
- The Blazers extended the margin to nine, 39-30, on a trey by Kelly Lebel with 4:26 left to play in the second period.
- The home side outscored the visitors 19-14 in the second frame to sport a 44-38 lead at the halftime break.
- Elms edged Gordon 14-8 in third-quarter scoring to boast to 58-46 advantage heading into the fourth.
- The Fighting Scots tallied 14 points in the final frame while the Blazers chalked up 13 points to secure their second win of the season.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Leah McGarvey (Harrisburg, Pa.) netted a game-high 19 points and grabbed seven boards.
- Woynitu Ciccarello (East Haddam, Conn.) notched 13 points and three assists.
- Sophie Peters (Sidney, Mont.) registered 11 points and eight rebounds.
- Isabella Rivera (Concord, N.H.) posted 11 points and five steals off the bench.
- Gordon finished the contest with a field-goal percentage of 30.3% and drained just 3-of-20 from the perimeter.
- Elms shot42.1% from the floor and 31.3% from beyond the arc.
- Mary Turco paced the Blazers with 18 points and 17 rebounds while Talia Uribe added 14 points and 10 boards off the bench.
