BEVERLY, Mass.- The Gordon College men's soccer team garnered five All-Conference of New England (CNE) nods, as the league office announced the end-of-season awards Thursday.
Benny Simpson (Evergreen, Colo.) earned All-CNE second team accolades while
Cortez Cardone (Villanova, Pa.),
Cody Dill (Malver, Pa.),
Sylver Godines (New Braunfels, Texas), and
Nathan Starzl (Gadsden, Ala.) were selected to the All-CNE third team.
Simpson started all 18 matches and paced the Fighting Scots with 15 points on the year. He netted four goals and dished out a team-best seven assists. In conference action, Simpson tallied two goals and three assists.
Cardone started all 18 contests this fall and registered six points. The junior bagged a pair of goals and added two assists.
Dill started in all 18 matches and finished with one assist. He anchored Gordon's defensive unit that surrendered less than a goal per game against conference opponents.
Godines appeared in all 18 games and made 13 starts while posting seven points. The rookie notched three goals and chalked up one assist. In league play, Godines scored two goals and recorded one assist.
Starzl started in all 18 matches and logged over 1,500 minutes as he played a key role in Gordon's defensive unit that surrendered less than a goal per game in league play. He contributed offensively with two goals and one assist this fall, including a goal and an assist in conference competition.
Junior
Zach Hutt (Streetsboro, Ohio) represented the Fighting Scots on the CNE Community Service Team which highlights one student-athlete per institution who demonstrates a commitment to their community. Each winner was picked and nominated by each program's head coach.
The Fighting Scots finished the 2025 campaign with a 9-7-2 overall record and a 6-4 mark in conference play.
