HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The University of New England rolled out to a 19-5 lead after the opening 10 minutes of action.
- The Nor'easters outscored the Fighting Scots 21-13 in the second period to sport a 40-18 advantage at the halftime break.
- In the third, the home side poured in 25 points while limiting the visitors to 15 points to carry a 65-33 lead into the final frame.
- The University of New England outscored Gordon 19-10 in the fourth quarter en route to picking up its first conference win of the year.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Sami Monighetti (Las Vegas, Nev.) scored a team-best 12 points while adding five rebounds and five steals.
- Leah McGarvey (Harrisburg, Pa.) and Isabella Rivera (Concord, N.H.) both tallied 10 points.
- Sophie Peters (Sidney, Mont.) gathered nine rebounds and Paige Gadarowski (Athol, Mass.) snagged five boards.
- Gordon managed a field-goal percentage of 23.7% on the night while connecting on 5-of-25 from behind the arc.
- The University of New England shot 46.8% from the floor and 37.8% from three-point range.
- Ella Karavanic and Paige Meda paced the Nor'easters' balanced offense with 13 points apiece and Hannah Blanchard chipped in with nine points.
