BIDDEFORD, Maine- The Gordon College men's basketball team dropped an 87-67 decision at the University of New England Wednesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Gordon captured a 19-10 lead with 11:10 left to play in the first half on a bucket by Brandon Swann (Venice, Fla.).
- The University of New England rattled off nine unanswered points to end the opening frame, including a buzzer-beating trey to jump ahead 34-32 at the intermission.
- The Nor'easters pulled away in the second stanza, outscoring the Fighting Scots 53-35 to collect their first league victory of the year.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Ryan Brooks (Dudley, Mass.) posted his first double-double of the season, finishing with 19 points and 11 rebounds to go with five assists and three blocks.
- Alex Daniel (Nolensville, Tenn.) netted 15 points while Sean Quanico (Pacifica, Calif.) chalked up 11 points.
- Drew Brander (Chester, N.H.) chipped in with eight points and five boards.
- Gordon concluded the contest with a field-goal percentage of 43.1% and drained just 3-of-14 from three-point range.
- The University of New England shot 44.9% from the floor and 22.2% from beyond the arc.
- Adam Lux led the Nor'easters with 20 points and 14 rebounds while Jaelen Jackson tallied 19 points and Jayden Thornton scored 17 points.
