BOSTON, Mass.- The Gordon College men's track & field team kicked off the winter slate at the Early Bird Invitational hosted at The Track at New Balance and at the Suffolk Relays Saturday.
 

TOP PERFORMANCES:

• Rookie Elijah Wisdom placed first in the long jump with a mark of 6.95 meters to set a new program record. He also posted a sixth-place finish in the triple jump.
• William Hughes finished second in the high jump with a height of 1.93 meters while also earning a fourth-place finish in the triple jump and sixth in the long jump.
• Evan Hand ran to an eighth-place finish in the 800-meters with a time of 2:06.30.

 
THROWERS:

• Gordon's contingent of throwers headed to the Suffolk Relays where Andrew Vickerman paced the Fighting Scots with an eighth-place finish in the weight throw with a mark of 43'2.5".

  
LOOKING AHEAD:
Gordon will compete at the Lyon Invitational hosted by Wheaton (Mass.) January 23.
