How It Happened
- After a slow start offensively, the blue and white's Jayme Kiser and Naomi Nicholson sunk a pair of shots from behind the arc to trail by just three points after one (13-10).
- The first four shots of the second quarter were all good from the three-point line as the Scots went on top, 24-15 at the 7:06 mark. A three-pointer from the visitors in the final seconds lifted the Colonels to within single digits at the break (33-27).
- Coming out of the locker room on fire, Gordon netted 14 unanswered points to widen the gap to 47-29 midway through the third. Curry began to chip away but the Scots maintained their 18-point cushion into the fourth, 58-40.
- After Ciccarello gave her squad their biggest lead of the game (20), Curry cut the deficit but thanks to a layup and a shot from behind the arc from Cassidy Dillon, Gordon was able to solidify the double-digit win.
Beyond The Box Score
- Jayme Kiser scored a career-high nine points tonight.
- The Fighting Scots return to action on Saturday as they travel to Bristol, R.I. to play the Hawks of Roger Williams at 3 p.m.
