Scots Continue To Rewrite History In Weekend Action

FRIDAY RESULTS | SATURDAY RESULTS

The Gordon College Men's Track & Field Team split up and conquered this weekend with events at the BU David Hemery Valentine Invitational as well as Bowdoin's Lynn Rudy Invitational. 

BU David Hemery Valentine Invitational
  • Securing a fourth place finish was rookie William Hughes in the triple jump who launched himself 13.54m to break his own record he set in mid January.
Lynn Rudy Invitational
  • In the long jump, Daniel Chewning set a new school record in the long jump with a distance of 6.58m to claim second place. Teammate Hughes followed right behind in third place with a distance of 6.44m. Although Chewning broke the program record today, a record he set back in December, Hughes' jump today also surpassed that December record of 6.43m. 
  • Taking fourth in the 60m hurdles was Hughes thanks to a time of 9.02. 
  • Henry Lonstein booked a time of 7.18 in the 60m dash to be the second player to cross the finish line. Teammate Chewning came in third with a time of 7.21. 
  • Rookie Justin Herzog claimed fourth in the 400m dash (55.78).
  • Fellow first year, Jacob Dyer was the second runner to cross the line in the 800m run with a time of 2:04.34. 
  • Placing third in the 200m dash, Keenan Jones put together a time of 24.10. 
  • The relay team of Evan Hand, Dyer, Hudson Studley, and Josef Schultz teamed up for a second place finish in the 4x400m relay (3:44.82).
  • Schultz ran his way to fourth in the 3000m run with a time of 8:57.74.
Next up for the Scots is the New England Division III Indoor Track & Field Championships on February 28 at New Balance.
