Scots Corralled By Bison On Senior Day

In incredibly unique New England weather, Gordon College Women's Lacrosse celebrated Senior Day today at the Brigham Athletic Complex against the undefeated Nichols College Bison in Conference of New England (CNE) play. The Bison defeated the Fighting Scots, 17-7.

Kaitlyn Mini booked three goals, Caroline Piorkowski chipped in two goals and one assist, while Tillie Hutton and Marializ Lopez each contributed one goal.

For Nichols, Cali Melo and Sienna Reeves each netted four goals, while Emma Patton scored three goals and added one assist.

How It Happened
  • Mini got her senior day off to a fast start as the senior found the back of the net a minute and a half after the opening draw (1-0). Nichols, however, answered with four straight goals to lead 4-1 after the first frame.
  • Piorkowski led the way in a solid quarter for the Fighting Scots as the senior rattled home Gordon's second tally of the day. Also joining in on the shots were Hutton who tossed in a feed from Brooke Roberti, as well as Mini who ended the quarter with a free position goal (7-4).
  • The Bison used a high offensive third frame to widen the gap to secure the eventual 17-7 win.
