For their first match in Hilton Head South Carolina, Gordon College Men's Tennis dropped a close contest against the YellowJackets of LeTourneau University, 4-3.
How It Happened
- The Fighting Scots went ahead early as No. 1 doubles partners Jeffrey Bodner and Joshua Noel doubled up their opponents, 6-3. Clinching the doubles point were James Wellborn and Percy Martinez who earned the 6-2 win on the No. 3 court.
- Lucas Barnes and Gabriel Guzman each were victors in No. 4 and No. 5 singles, respectively, but the YellowJackets were able to pull off the comeback after a trio of singles wins.
Gordon returns to the courts tomorrow, Sunday March 9 to play Greenville University for a 12:30 p.m. start time.
