Gordon College Men's Lacrosse played host to the Wentworth Institute Leopards this afternoon at the Brigham Athletic Complex for their home-finale. The Leopards got out in front and were able to come out with the 16-6 win.
For the Fighting Scots,
Ryan Arthur scored three goals,
Caden Lake and
Nicolas Flemmi each had one goal and one assist, while
William McCormick added one tally. Keeper
Colin Liscomb recorded 16 saves.
Wentworth's
Erik Vogt registered five goals and three assists,
Drew Bouley added a hat trick, while
Kobi Buffa booked three goals and one helper.Â
How It Happened
- The Leopards rattled in the first score of the afternoon, but the blue and white netted two straight to lead by a score of 2-1 midway through the first. However, the visitors scored four unanswered to lead 5-2 after one.
- Wentworth scored seven goals in the second to hold the 12-3 advantage at the half.
- Gordon fought in the second half, holding the Leopards to just two goals in the final two quarters. The Scots also outscored their opponents in the fourth (3-2), but Wentworth left Brigham with the win.
