Scots Brave The Weather In Jonathan Tymann Invitational

RESULTS

Gordon College Men's Track and Field hosted the Jonathan Tymann Invitational today at the Brigham Athletic Complex.


By The Numbers (Track)
  • Matthew McCluskey secured a fifth place finish in the 100m dash with a time of 11.97.
  • Stephen Denio and Aaron Geaslen made it a five, sixth punch in the 1500m run with times of 4:37.03 and 4:41.96, respectively.
  • The 4x100m relay team of Henry Lonstein, Daniel Chewning, Keenan Jones, and Justin Herzog orchestrated a time of 43.31 to come in second place.
  • Peter McGinn had the second best hurdle outing in the 400m (58.16), while Daniel Erikson and Nate Tucker's times of 1:00.07 and 1:01.08 earned the duo fifth and sixth place.
  • Herzog and Keenan Jones both earned top-10 finishes in the 200m dash. Herzog recorded a time of 24.00 while Jones had a time of 24.36.
  • Josef Schultz battled the elements in the afternoon but held strong to earn a first place finish in the 5000m run with a time of 15:27.44.
  • Chewning broke his own school record in the 200m dash at Regis' Spring Classic as the junior took the crown with a time of 22.11.
  • Jacob Dyer had the sixth best time in the 800m with a time of 2:08.73. Evan Hand, Luke O'Halloran, and Hudson Studley filled up the eighth, ninth, and tenth placement with their times of 2:11.18, 2:12.41, and 2:12.72.
  • Peter McGinn, Lonstein, Henry Tait, and Chewning came in second place in the 4x400m relay with a time of 3:45.01.
By The Numbers (Field)
  • Noah Prince led the way in the discus throw as the senior's throw of 35.15m took first place on the day. Curtis launched the discus 28.45m to come in seventh place.
  • In the shot put, Curtis had a throw of 10.37m to come in sixth place. Prince trailed just behind Curtis in seventh with a toss of 10.35m.
  • Chewning's best mark of the day was 6.51m in the long jump which secured the junior the overall win in first place. 
  • Prince took fourth in the javelin with a throw of 39.04. 
The Fighting Scots come back into action on Friday April 11 at Connecticut College for the Silfen Invitational.
