Gordon Wraps Up Season Against Lynx

Gordon College Baseball returned to the diamond this afternoon for a road twin bill against the Lesley University Lynx where the home team took both games from the Fighting Scots by scores of 8-3 and 12-7.

Game One
  • A Jonathan McIntyre sacrifice fly brought classmate CJ Demers across the plate to put the Fighting Scots on top, 1-0.
  • In the bottom of the third, Lesley strung together four hits to score three runs for their first lead of the afternoon, 3-1.
  • Lesley continued to add to their tally after a rain delay to widen the gap to 8-1 going into the seventh.
  • Alex Carl stepped up to the plate with one on and one out in the seventh, and the senior belted out his first career hit as a Fighting Scot in dramatic fashion with a two-run homer over the left field fence (8-3). However, Lesley maintained control to secure the win.
Game Two
  • Lesley jumped out to a quick 10-1 advantage after two innings in the night cap.
  • Tyler Wilson recorded the second homer of the day for the Scots with a grand slam to right field in the top of the third (10-5).

  • The umpires called the game after five innings due to fog as Lesley took the win.
