WENHAM, Mass.- The Gordon College women's soccer team dropped a 2-0 decision to the Massachusetts Institute of Technology Saturday evening at the Brigham Athletic Complex in the first match of the 2025 campaign. The Engineers appeared in the United Soccer Coaches Preseason Poll, ranking No. 12.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- MIT claimed a 1-0 lead in the 15th minute. Natalie Barnouw knocked in a cross from Maeve Sullivan to pick up her first tally of the year.
- The Engineers doubled their advantage to 2-0 in the 24th minute. Natalie Barnouw bagged her second marker of the game, heading in a corner kick served into the box by Sean Luk.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Eowyn Lapp (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) recorded Gordon lone shot in the match.
- Senior goalkeeper Emily Bengtson (Anthem, Ariz.) finished with three saves in the first half. Ivy Daniel (Aurora, Colo.) made her collegiate debut between the pipes, playing a scoreless second half while registering six saves.
- Gordon finished with one shot and one corner kick on the evening.
- MIT concluded the contest with 25 shot attempts and eight corners.
