WESTON, Mass.- The Gordon College women's soccer team broke into the win-column with a 5-0 victory at Regis Wednesday evening.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Gordon opened the scoring in the 30th minute to snag a 1-0 edge. Ava Forbes-Smith (Bridgewater, Mass.) found the back of the net for her first goal of the season as she knocked in a rebound.
- The Fighting Scots doubled their advantage to 2-0 with a strike in the 33rd minute. Eowyn Lapp (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) collected her first marker of the year with a left-footed effort.
- The visitors added a goal in the 37th minute to widen the gap to 3-0. Ava Forbes Smith (Bridgewater, Mass.) notched her second tally of the match as Liana Hanley (San Diego, Calif.) picked up an assist.
- Gordon tacked on a score in the 65th minute to extend its lead to 4-0 as Eowyn Lapp (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) notched her second marker of the contest.
- The Fighting Scots picked up a goal in the 67th minute to stretch their advantage to 5-0 as Julia Evans (Phoenixville, Pa.) buried her first career tally.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Eowyn Lapp (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) racked up 10 shots on the night while Ava Forbes-Smith (Bridgewater, Mass.) and Liana Hanley (San Diego, Calif.) both finished with two shots.
- Ivy Daniel (Aurora, Colo.) made her first collegiate start and registered three saves. Emily Bengtson (Anthem, Ariz.) came off the bench and chalked up one save late in the match.
- Gordon concluded the contest with 20 shots while Regis managed seven attempts.
