DALLAS, Pa.- The Gordon College women's soccer team dropped a 4-0 decision at Misericordia Saturday afternoon. The Cougars entered the season ranked No. 7 in the United Soccer Coaches Preseason Poll.
THE BASICS:

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The home side chalked up a goal in the 19th minute to seize a 1-0 lead as Larissa Evans found the back of the net.
- Misericordia doubled its advantage to 2-0 in the 48th minute on a strike by Brenna Field.
- The Cougars tacked on a tally in the 59th minute as Olivia Maniskas collected her first marker of the year.
- Misericordia added a score in the 63rd minute to widen the margin to 4-0 as Julia Hayward bagged her first goal of the season.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Eowyn Lapp (Saratoga Springs, N.Y.) fired four shots while Catriona Glover (Pitman, N.J.) recorded one shot attempt.
- Ivy Daniel (Aurora, Colo.) made her second start of the fall and posted six saves. Emily Bengtson (Anthem, Ariz.) registered four saves in 45 minutes of action.
- Gordon finished with five shots while Misericordia produced 25 attempts.
