FRANKLIN, Mass.- The Gordon College field hockey team dropped an 8-1 decision at Dean Thursday.

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Dean netted one goal late in the first quarter before tacking on a score in the opening moments of second frame to carry a 2-0 lead into the halftime break.
• Gordon trimmed the deficit to 2-1 early in the third period as Kaitlyn Carlsen (Bel Air, Md.) tallied her first collegiate goal.
• The Bulldogs responded with three goals in the third and three markers in the fourth quarter to earn their third-consecutive victory.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

• Sarah Bourk (Barrington, R.I.) and Kaitlyn Carlsen (Bel Air, Md.) each registered one shot.
• Allyson Stauffer (Lancaster, Pa.) finished with 12 saves in goal.
• Gordon produced a pair of shot while Dean manufactured 36 attempts in the contest.
