BEVERLY, Mass.- Senior Ava Forbes-Smith (Bridgewater, Mass.) of the Gordon College women's soccer team has been selected as the Conference of New England (CNE) Player of the Week, announced the league office Monday afternoon.

Forbes-Smith bagged a pair of goals and added an assist as the Fighting Scots topped Regis 5-0 in non-conference action.

Gordon returns to the pitch September 10 to square off against Salve Regina.
