PROVIDENCE, R.I.- The Gordon College men's basketball team surged past Johnson & Wales 86-64 Tuesday evening on the road.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Gordon constructed a nine-point lead with 1:38 remaining in the first half, 45-36, as Isaac Jarvis (Concord, N.H.) sank a pair of free throws.
- The Fighting Scots owned a 48-40 advantage at the midway point of the contest after Chiko Kalu (Queens, N.Y.) splashed a trey in the final moments of the opening frame.
- The visitors outscored the home side 38-24 in the second stanza to secure their second-consecutive victory.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Isaac Jarvis (Concord, N.H.) posted his third double-double of the year, tallying a career-high 24 points to go with 12 boards.
- Chiko Kalu (Queens, N.Y.) registered 15 points and eight rebounds off the bench.
- Ryan Brooks (Dudley, Mass.) netted 12 points.
- Alex Daniel (Nolensville, Tenn.) and Bruce McGuire (Bristol, R.I.) both chalked up 10 points.
- Gordon finished with a field-goal percentage of 52.5% while knocking down 3-of-8 from behind the arc.
- Johnson & Wales shot 38.6% from the floor and 31.8% from three-point range.
- Silas Sawtelle scored a team-high 18 points for the Wildcats while Alvin Baez notched 14 points and Landon Bodington added 10 points.
