BOSTON, Mass.- The Gordon College women's basketball team absorbed a 73-49 loss at Suffolk Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- After Gordon opened the contest with nine consecutive points, Suffolk closed out the first quarter with an 18-4 run to own an 18-13 lead.
- The Rams extended their advantage to 42-26 at the half with a 24-13 margin in second-period scoring.
- The home side outscored the guests 16-12 in the third to widen the gap to 58-38.
- Suffolk chalked up 15 points in the fourth quarter while limiting Gordon to 11 points in the frame en route to its second-straight win.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Woynitu Ciccarello (East Haddam, Conn.) paced the visitors with 16 points.
- Leah McGarvey (Harrisburg, Pa.) finished with nine points, three assists, and three steals.
- Sophie Peters (Sidney, Mont.) notched eight rebounds to go with four points.
- Gordon posted a field-goal percentage of 28.3% while connecting on 8-of-30 from behind the arc.
- Suffolk shot 41.9% from the floor and 30% from three-point range.
- Jordan Moreau and Olivia Verdile both poured in 18 points to lead the Rams.
