WINTER HAVEN, Fla.- The Gordon College softball team absorbed a pair of losses Tuesday at THE Spring Games, dropping a 5-1 decision to Desales before falling to Wittenberg 12-3.
 

GORDON vs. DESALES
THE BASICS:

Records: Fighting Scots (2-5) | Bulldogs (3-2)

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • DeSales chalked up one run in the second inning and added a run in the third to capture a 2-0 edge.
  • Gordon tallied one run in the bottom of the fourth frame to slice the deficit in half, 2-1.
  • The Bulldogs plated a run in the fifth to reclaim a two-run advantage, 3-1.
  • DeSales tacked on a pair of runs in the seventh inning to stretch the margin to 5-1.
 INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
  • Emilie Adelmann (Upland, Calif.) landed two hits and drove in one RBI.
  • Isabella Rivera (Concord, N.H.) notched two base knocks and scored one run.
  • Emilie Adelmann (Upland, Calif.) pitched a complete game and recorded two strikeouts.
