GORDON vs. MOUNT SAINT MARY
THE BASICS:

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Mount Saint Mary snagged a 1-0 edge with a run in the top of the first inning.
• Gordon generated five runs in the bottom of the first to capture a 5-1 lead.
• The Knights responded with four runs in the second to level the contest at 5-5.
• The Fighting Scots chalked up one run in the home half of the second frame to seize a 6-5 advantage.
• Gordon added a pair of runs in the third to extend the margin to 8-5.
• Mount Saint Mary tallied three runs in the fourth inning to tie the contest at 8-8.
• The Fighting Scots answered with three runs in the bottom of the fourth to reclaim the lead, 11-8.
• The Knights produced five runs in the sixth frame to jump ahead 13-11.
• Gordon manufactured four runs in the home half of the sixth to move in front 15-13.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

• Makayla Falco (Warwick, R.I.) posted three RBIs, three hits, and three runs scored.
• Emilie Adelmann (Upland, Calif.) landed two hits, drove in three RBIs, and scored a run
• Emily Hutchins (Kennebunkport, Maine) and Avie Hernandez (Draper, Utah) both finished with two base hits, two RBIs, and a pair of runs scored.
• Samantha Perkins (Tewksbury, Mass.) added two RBIs, two runs scored, and one hit.
• Emilie Adelmann (Upland, Calif.) threw 4.1 innings and recorded two strikeouts in her fifth start of the season. Katie Melendy (Easton, Mass.) worked 2.2 innings of relief and surrendered one hit while fanning two batters.

THE BASICS:
Score: Gordon 0, Wheaton (Mass.) 8
Records: Fighting Scots (3-7) | Lyons (8-2)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Wheaton scored twice in the bottom of the first inning to establish a 2-0 lead.
• The Lyons tacked on four runs in the third to widen the margin to 6-0.
• Wheaton plated one run in the fourth before adding a run in the fifth to clinch the 8-0 win.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

• Samantha Perkins (Tewksbury, Mass.) registered the Fighting Scots' lone hit in the game.
• Katie Melendy (Easton, Mass.) started in the pitcher's circle before Lizzie DeRusha (Nashua, N.H.) and Kassie Snowman (St. Albans, Maine) made relief appearances.
