WENHAM, Mass.- The Gordon College softball team cruised to a pair of victories over Lesley in a non-conference doubleheader Wednesday afternoon, earning a 17-2 win and a 10-2 win.
GAME ONE
THE BASICS:

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Lesley pounced on a 2-0 lead with a pair of runs in the top of the first inning.
- Gordon responded with five runs in the bottom of the first to claim a 5-2 advantage.
- The Fighting Scots tacked on five runs in the second to widen the margin to 10-2.
- The home side scored two runs in the third to stretch the gap to 12-2.
- Gordon produced five runs in the fourth inning to push its lead to 17-2.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Isabella Rivera (Concord, N.H.) racked up four hits, four runs scored, and three RBIs.
- Lizzie DeRusha (Nashua, N.H.) and Emily Graham (Amesbury, Mass.) both posted three RBIs, three hits, and two runs scored.
- Peyton Heitzman (Champlin, Minn.) finished with two base knocks, two RBIs, and two runs scored.
- Emilie Adelmann (Upland, Calif.) pitched one inning in her team-leading 15th start of the season. Kassie Snowman (St. Alban's, Maine) tossed three scoreless innings of relief and registered three strikeouts. Katie Melendy (Easton, Mass.) worked a perfect frame and recorded a pair of strikeouts.

THE BASICS:

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- The Lynx plated a run in the top of the first to snag a 1-0 edge.
- Lesley scored once in the third to double its advantage to 2-0.
- Gordon generated six runs in the bottom of the third inning to jump ahead 6-2.
- The Fighting Scots added a pair of runs in the fourth inning to widen the gap to 8-2.
- The hosts chalked up two runs in the fifth to clinch a run-rule victory.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Peyton Heitzman (Champlin, Minn.) notched three hits, two RBIs, one run scored, and a stolen base.
- Makayla Falco (Warwick, R.I.) finished with two hits, two RBIs, and a run scored.
- Lizzie DeRusha (Nashua, N.H.) chipped in with two hits, one RBI, and a run scored.
- Kassie Snowman (St. Alban's, Maine) hurled 2.1 innings and fanned three batters. Emily Graham (Amesbury, Mass.) threw 2.2 innings of relief and posted four strikeouts.
