MYRTLE BEACH, S.C.- The Gordon College men's track & field team kicked off the outdoor season with a 15th-place finish at the Myrtle Beach Collegiate Challenge.
 
 
TOP PERFORMANCES:

• William Hughes broke the school record in the high jump, clearing 1.95 meters to place third. He also picked up a seventh-place finish in the triple jump with a mark of 13.55 meters.
• Elijah Wisdom established a new school record in the triple jump with a mark of 13.83 meters to claim fifth place and also earned a sixth-place finish with a leap of 6.45 meters in the long jump.
• Mikey Poteau posted a school record time of 15.68 seconds in the 110 meter hurdles to place 10th in his first collegiate meet.
• Isaac Portugal claimed seventh in the 400-meter open competition with a time of 56.78 seconds.
• Paul Lynn finished eighth in the 3000-meter steeplechase, crossing the finish line in 10:34.84.
• Gordon's 4x400 meter relay squad of Jacob Dyer, Justin Herzog, Henry Tait, and Peter McGinn placed eighth with a time of 3:33.06.

Gordon is scheduled to host the Jonathan Tymann Invitational March 27.
