WENHAM, Mass.- The Gordon College baseball team dropped a 3-1 decision to Rivier Thursday afternoon at J. Tec White Field in the first home game of the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Gordon grabbed a quick 1-0 edge with a run in the bottom of the first inning. Tyler Wilson (Lynn, Mass.) scampered home from third base on an RBI groundout by Cam Wilbur (Dighton, Mass.).
- Rivier responded with one run in the top of the third to knot the contest at 1-1.
- The Raiders tallied a pair of runs in the seventh inning to claim a 3-1 advantage.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Tyler Wilson (Lynn, Mass.) landed a pair of hits and scored one run.
- Carter Shin (Burlington, Ontario) notched two base hits.
- Cam Wilbur (Dighton, Mass.) finished with one RBI and one hit.
- Josh Thiero (Piscataway, N.J.) pitched six innings and posted three strikeouts in his third start of the year. Jacob Bettencourt (Attleboro, Mass.) hurled two innings of relief before Hunter Simpson (Prospect, Conn.) worked one frame out of the bullpen.
