WENHAM, Mass.- The Gordon College women's lacrosse team endured an 18-7 setback to Emerson Friday evening in the first home game of the season at the Brigham Athletic Complex.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Emerson manufactured the lone tally of the first quarter and edged Gordon 3-2 in second-quarter scoring to sport a 4-2 halftime advantage.
- The Lions notched six goals in the third while the Fighting Scots generated three goals.
- The visitors poured in eight goals and held the home side to a pair of goals in the final frame.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Violet Manson (Plymouth, N.H.) paced Gordon with three goals while also collecting eight draw controls.
- Jocelyn Noyes (Byfield, Mass.) netted a pair of goals and scooped up four ground balls.
- Hannah Bilowz (Woburn, Mass.) finished with five ground balls, four draw controls, and one goal.
- Kayla Davidson (Dracut, Mass.) recorded 15 saves in the contest, eclipsing the 500-career-save mark.
- Gordon managed 20 shots on the evening while Emerson racked up 41 attempts.
