Dylan Curtis and freshman
Mikey Poteau of the Gordon College men's track & field team collected Conference of New England Field Athlete of the Week and Track Rookie of the Week honors, respectively, announce the league office Monday afternoon.
Curtis finished first in the shot put with a school-record of 13.84 meters and placed second in the javelin throw with a toss of 49.52 meters. He also earned a fifth-place finish in the discus throw at the meet.
Poteau posted a school-record time in the 110-meter hurdles to take second in the event, clocking in at 15.81 seconds. He also turned in a personal-best time in the 100-meter dash to capture fourth.
Up next, the Fighting Scots return to action April 17-18 at the Sean Collier Invitational hosted by MIT.
