Men’s Lacrosse Absorbs 11-8 Loss at Johnson & Wales

PROVIDENCE, R.I.- The Gordon College men's lacrosse team dropped an 11-8 decision at Johnson & Wales Saturday afternoon.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
  • Johnson & Wales owned a 4-2 edge after the opening quarter.
  • Both squads netted three goals in the second frame as the home side boasted a 7-5 lead at the half.
  • The Fighting Scots and Wildcats chalked up two goals apiece in the third as Gordon trailed 9-7 heading into the final 15 minutes of action.
  • Johnson & Wales narrowly outscored Gordon 2-1 in the fourth period to capture its third-straight win in the all-time series.

  • Kennedy Opie (Natick, Mass.) tallied four goals in the game.
  • Jackson Wright (Cazenovia, N.Y.) netted a pair of goals.
