WENHAM, Mass.- The Gordon College baseball team captured a key 9-4 victory over Curry Tuesday afternoon at J. Tec White Field.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Gordon tallied three runs in the bottom of the first inning to claim a 3-0 lead.
- The Fighting Scots tacked on a run in the second to extend the margin to 4-0.
- The home side added two runs in the third inning to widen the gap to 6-0.
- Gordon plated a run to stretch its advantage to 7-0 in the fifth.
- Curry got on the board in the top of the seventh inning, scoring once to trim the deficit to 7-1.
- The Fighting Scots produced a pair of runs in the eighth to capture a 9-1 lead.
- The Colonels manufactured three runs in the ninth before the hosts capped off a 9-4 win.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Gabe Fales (Middleton, Mass.) posted three hits, four RBIs, one run scored, and a stolen base.
- Aaron Ferreira (Fall River, Mass.) notched three RBIs, two hits, and a run scored.
- Carter Shin (Burlington, Ont.) finished with two runs scored and two base knocks to extend his hitting streak to 24 games.
- Cam Wilbur (Dighton, Mass.) collected a pair of hits and scored two run.
- Adam Gracie (Swansea, Mass.) and Tyler Wilson (Lynn, Mass.) both chipped in with two hits, one RBI, and a run scored.
- Brett Moore (Gloucester, Mass.) hurled six scoreless innings and finished with three strikeouts in his fifth start of the season. Hunter Simpson (Prospect, Conn.) pitched three innings and fanned three batters to pick up the save in his ninth relief outing of the spring.
