HARTFORD, Conn.- The Gordon College softball team dropped a league doubleheader at Hartford Wednesday, falling 9-0 and 13-2.
GAME ONE

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Hartford plated a pair of runs in the bottom of the first inning to snag a 2-0 lead.
- The Hawks tacked on one run in the second to grab a 3-0 edge.
- The home side manufactured four runs in the third inning to extend its advantage to 7-0.
- Hartford scored twice in the fourth frame to widen the margin to 9-0.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Hartford tallied four runs in the bottom of the first to establish a 4-0 advantage.
- The Hawks added five runs in the second to push their lead to 9-0.
- Gordon got on the board in the top of the third inning, plating two runs to cut the deficit to 9-2.
- Hartford responded with a run in the home half of the third to widen the gap to 10-2.
- The Hawks chalked up three runs in the fourth frame to extend the margin to 13-2.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Avie Hernandez (Draper, Utah) drove in a pair of RBIs.
- Makayla Falco (Warwick, R.I.) and Isabella Rivera (Concord, N.H.) both landed one hit.
- Lizzie DeRusha (Nashua, N.H.) and Caoimhe Wernsing (Brockton, Mass.) each scored one run.
- Kassie Snowman (St. Albans, Maine), Katie Melendy (Easton, Mass.), Emily Graham (Amesbury, Mass.), and Emilie Adelmann (Upland, Calif.) all saw action in the pitcher's circle.
