WENHAM, Mass.- The Gordon College softball team traded victories with Curry Saturday afternoon with the Fighting Scots prevailing 8-0 before falling 5-4.

GAME ONE
THE BASICS:
Score: Gordon 8, Curry 0
Records: Fighting Scots (11-23, 3-14 CNE) | Colonels (11-24, 4-13 CNE)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Gordon tallied three runs in the bottom of the first inning to seize a 3-0 lead.
- The Fighting Scots chalked up four runs in the second to extend their advantage to 7-0.
- The hosts manufactured a run in the fifth inning to clinch a run-rule victory.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Makayla Falco (Warwick, R.I) notched three RBIs and two hits.
- Caoimhe Wernsing (Brockton, Mass.) posted two hits and two runs scored.
- Emilie Adelmann (Upland, Calif.) finished with two base knocks, one RBI, and a run scored.
- In the pitcher's circle, Emily Graham (Amesbury, Mass.) spun a complete game and recorded two strikeouts while surrendering just one hit.
GAME TWO
THE BASICS:
Score: Gordon 4, Curry 5
Records: Fighting Scots (11-24, 3-15 CNE) | Colonels (12-24, 5-13 CNE)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Curry plated a run in the top of the first inning to capture a 1-0 edge.
- The Colonels tacked on two runs in the second to widen the margin to 3-0.
- The visitors added one run in the top of the third to push their advantage to 4-0.
- Gordon got on the board in the home half of the third to trim the gap to 4-1.
- Curry produced one run in the fourth to reclaim a four-run lead, 5-1.
- The Fighting Scots generated two runs in the bottom of the fourth inning to cut the deficit to 5-3.
- Gordon scored once in the sixth to pull to within a run, 5-4.
