DUDLEY, Mass.- The Gordon College men's lacrosse team dropped a 23-10 decision at Nichols Saturday afternoon.

Records: Fighting Scots (1-7, 0-4 CNE) | Bison (7-5, 3-1 CNE)
HOW IT HAPPENED:
- Nichols rattled off seven unanswered goals to start the contest before outscoring Gordon 7-3 in the second quarter to sport a 14-3 advantage at the half.
- The Fighting Scots edged the Bison 5-3 in third-period scoring to trim the gap to 17-8.
- The home side tallied six goals while the visitors managed two goals in the final frame.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Kennedy Opie (Natick, Mass.) posted two goals and two assists to go with four ground balls.
- Jackson Wright (Cazenovia, N.Y.) scored a pair of goals and dished out one assist.
- Ryan Arthur (Manorville, N.Y.) finished with two goals.
- Caden Ellis (Newtown Square, Pa.), Rocco Kraunelis (Melrose, Mass.), and Caden Lake (Basking Ridge, N.J.) all chipped in with a goal.
- Senior netminder CJ Veader (Bristol, R.I.) recorded 13 saves and contributed offensively with his first goal of the year.
- Finn Smith (Windham, Maine) collected a team-high five ground balls and Aidan Walsh (Scituate, Mass.) scooped up four ground balls.
- Gordon registered 29 shots on the day while Nichols racked up 57 shot attempts.
