WENHAM, Mass.- The Gordon College women's track & field team placed six student-athletes on the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team, announced the organization recently.
In order to be recognized with this honor, a student-athlete must obtain a cumulative grade point average of at least 3.5 (on a 4.0 scale), must have at least sophomore academic standing, while being ranked in the top-50 in cross country at a regional competition, or top-50 regionally in a single event for track & field.
Alivia Geraghty repeats as an Academic All-District selection while
Emily Bengtson,
Kasianna Fischev,
Lizzie Gaskill,
Anissa Lewis, and
Jenna Lindsay all received their first career honor.
Bengtson finished the spring ranked in the top-50 in New England in the javelin throw and the 400-meter dash.
Gaskill concluded the outdoor season ranked 12th in the 100-meter dash and 15th in the 200-meter dash.
Geraghty sported the top mark in the hammer throw while also ranking in the top-30 in the weight throw and discus throw this year.
Lewis finished the outdoor season ranked 29th in the long jump and 36th in the triple jump.
Lindsay owned a pair of top-50 marks during the outdoor slate while Fischev ranked 48th regionally in the discus throw.
