LINCOLN, Neb.- The Gordon College volleyball team absorbed a pair of 3-0 losses to Whitworth and St. Olaf Friday afternoon at the P-Wolf Invite hosted by Nebraska Wesleyan.
 
 
GORDON VS. WHITWORTH
THE BASICS:
Score: Gordon 0, Whitworth 3
Records: Fighting Scots (2-3) | Pirates (4-0)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• Whitworth captured the first set 25-21 to establish a 1-0 lead.
• The Pirates edged the Fighting Scots 25-23 in the second frame to extend their advantage to 2-0.
• Whitworth prevailed 25-14 in the third to post its third-straight 3-0 victory.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

• Haley Hutzler (Long Island, N.Y.) notched 10 kills and 10 digs.
• Allison Trogdon (Williamsburg, Va.) tallied six kills.
• Annie Zimmerman (Austin, Texas) added five kills and five digs.
• Annika Schmitt (Quincy, Mass.) finished with 25 assists and six digs.
• Amanda Pierce (Johnston, R.I.) chipped in with seven digs.

 
GORDON VS. ST. OLAF
THE BASICS:

Records: Fighting Scots (2-4) | Oles (4-1)

HOW IT HAPPENED:

• The Oles, who jumped into the AVCA National Poll at No. 24 this week, grabbed a 1-0 lead with a 25-19 win in the opening set.
• St. Olaf cruised to a 25-16 decision in the second to widen the margin to 2-0.
• The Oles claimed the third frame 25-18 to clinch a straight-sets win.

INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:

• Haley Hutzler (Long Island, N.Y.) finished with eight kills and eight digs.
• Teagan Brideweser (Warwick, N.Y.) and Allison Trogdon (Williamsburg, Va.) both registered six kills.
• Annika Schmitt (Quincy, Mass.) dished out 16 assists to go with four aces.
• Amanda Pierce (Johnston, R.I.) racked up 12 digs.
• Vivian Castano (Yarmouthport, Mass.) recorded a career-high seven digs while adding five assists.
