PROVIDENCE, R.I.- The Gordon College field hockey team endured a 3-0 loss at Johnson & Wales Saturday afternoon.
THE BASICS:

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- After a scoreless opening period, Johnson & Wales chalked up one goal in the second quarter to own a 1-0 lead at the half.
- Neither team found the back of the net in the third frame as the Wildcats clung to the one-goal advantage heading into the final period.
- The home side tallied a goal less than two minutes into the fourth and added a score in the final minute of regulation to secure its first league victory of the fall.
INSIDE THE BOX SCORE:
- Elizabeth Holden (North Hampton, N.H.) registered the Fighting Scots' only two shot attempts on the day.
- In goal, Haylee Briggs (Plymouth, Mass.) made eight saves in the contest.
- Gordon finished with a pair of shots while Johnson & Wales posted 20 attempts.
