What is the Pro-Am?
We match participants with current college players and guest pros for an exciting afternoon of tennis. Spectators are welcome to join us for the event and to learn about the tennis courts that we are fundraising for. We provide the food and refreshments so all that is left to you is to have fun and meet some amazing people.
The day will be divided into four segments:
- Intro and warm up (Run by Brendan from the men's team)
- Doubles match play / drilling courts
- Liveball (fast-paced, coach-fed situational point play)
- Wrap up presentation.
What are we fundraising for?
Come and learn about Gordon's exciting vision for its tennis program, including plans for restoring its tennis facility to the highest possible standard.
Who Benefits from the Gordon College courts?
Gordon Tennis - The growing tennis programs at Gordon College will directly benefit by having a surface that plays true to current standards and will attract recruits to continue to grow the level of our programs. We will be able to host invitationals and tournaments which we currently cannot host due to the condition of the courts.
Local High Schools - Several local high school tennis programs would stand to benefit from the courts as well as we are the home courts to Landmark and have been used by Hamilton-Wenham in the past.
Local Community - The Gordon College tennis courts currently are open and will remain open to the community as a membership free facility open to all while college and camp programs are not being run. The community is also served through affordable camps hosted by the coaching staff for a few weeks each summer as well as weekly summer group programs for all ages.
Service Opportunities – Before COVID we used to host a Special Olympics group that we would like to be involved with starting back up.
