Carrie Hughes joined the Scots in the fall of 2023, after graduating from Skidmore College in May of 2023.
Hughes was an integral part of the Thoroughbreds field hockey program, serving as a captain her junior and senior year, starting all 62 games throughout her career, scoring 40 goals, and tallying a total 103 career points. Her senior year, Carrie led the Liberty League in goals, points, shots, and shots on goal. Hughes was named to the NFHCA National Academic Squad, the NFHCA All-Region First Team, Liberty League First Team, and the NFHCA Senior Game Selection, as well as garnering multiple Liberty League Performer of the Week and Liberty League Offensive Performer of the Week nods.
“I’m so excited to be joining the Gordon field hockey program! I look forward to growing the program and sharing my passion for the game,” said Hughes.
