One of Gordon College's most decorated field hockey and lacrosse alumnae, Chyanne (Wilson) Smith assumed an assistant coaching role for the Fighting Scots in 2009.
As a four-year starter in the cage for the Scots, Smith garnered numerous conference, regional, and national accolades for her play on the field hockey and lacrosse fields and her outstanding work in the classroom. For field hockey, she was selected to The Commonwealth Coast Conference (TCCC) First Team in 2007, TCCC Honorable Mention in 2008, National Field Hockey Coaches Association (NFHCA) All-New England East Second Team in 2007, and was a member of the NFHCA Academic All-American team and TCCC All-Academic team each of her four years. As a member of the Scots' lacrosse team, Smith was a TCCC First Team selection and IWLCA Pilgrim Region Second Team honoree in 2007 and 2008, adding an ECAC Division III All-New England Second Team nod in 2008 and TCCC Honorable Mention nods in 2006 and 2009.
Smith lends that playing experience to the Scots now as a goalie and defensive coach, and works as fifth grade teacher at Covenant Christian Academy while not on the field.
