Bill Bodwell

Bill Bodwell was hired as men's lacrosse coach in Sept. 2017. Bodwell comes to Gordon from from Cheverus High School in Portland, Maine where he served as head coach for the past five seasons.

While at Cheverus, Bodwell guided the Stags to a Class A Eastern Maine Championship win in 2014.

"I am thrilled to welcome Coach Bodwell into our Fighting Scots family," said Director of Athletics Jon Tymann. "He comes highly recommended from many professionals within the New England lacrosse community. I look forward to getting the team rolling again under his quality leadership."

Prior to coaching at Cheverus, Bodwell was an assistant boys' lacrosse coach at Hebron Academy for one season where he helped lead the team to a win in the MAISAD Championship in 2013. Additionally, he was the head varsity boys' lacrosse coach at Lewiston High School from 2010-2012 where he was voted Kennebec Valley Athletic Conference Coach of the Year in 2010 and 2011 and won the Class A Eastern Maine Championship in 2011.

He also has two seasons of collegiate lacrosse coaching experience as an assistant at Bates College and Bowdoin College.

"I want to thank Director of Athletics Jon Tymann for the opportunity to lead the Gordon College men's lacrosse team," said Bodwell. "My family and I are excited to be part of the Gordon community. I am looking forward to working with the other outstanding coaches and fine student-athletes at Gordon."
